Resettlement specialists · Lao PDR
We prepare and implement resettlement action plans for hydropower, infrastructure and community development projects, from the first household survey to the completion report.
What we do
Six areas of expertise
Resettlement planning
Resettlement action plans, relocation plans by village and phase, and the layout of new village sites.
Compensation and asset inventory
Every affected plot, house, tree and crop measured with its owner, valued at replacement cost and recorded in a signed register.
Livelihood restoration
Agriculture, livestock, fisheries and off-farm occupations chosen with each household, followed until income is restored.
Community development
Village organisation, community infrastructure and support for vulnerable households at the new site.
Socio-economic and PAP survey
A census of every affected household and the income baseline that later results are measured against.
Stakeholder engagement and consultation
Meetings at province, district and village level, with records of what was asked and how it was answered.
